September 23, 2022 with many family members by her side.
Heather was born on December 9, 1983 in Oshawa, Ontario. Heather was a brilliant and creative
person who fought and overcame so many challenges in her life. She loved her children,
karaoke, experimenting with new looks in hair styles and colour. She enjoyed pizza, chocolate
and any type of gummy candy. A graduate of Niagara College's Business Management
Program, Heather used her unique sense of humour to make friends with everyone. She was
always ready to stand up for the underdog or outcasts. In recent years, the demons of addiction
took hold of her and never let go.
Heather was a loving mother to three beautiful children, Jordan Taylor, her cancer warrior and
Christopher and Hadleigh Redmond, AKA the Minis. In addition to her children, Heather is
survived by her partner Michael Johnson of St. Catharines, Ontario. Her mother Marilyn (Huxstep)
Brown of Welland, Ontario and her father David Brown (Terri) of Beamsville, Ontario, her loving siblings
Vicki McAlpine of Dunedin, New Zealand, Amy Lavoie (Michael) of Eganville, Ontario, Dave Brown
of Welland, Ontario, Rachel Brown of Welland, Ontario, and Chris Brown (Christine) of St. Thomas, Ontario.
She will be greatly missed by her many, many (22) nieces and nephews and great-nephew, 3
Scottish Aunties and an English Uncle along with many cousins.
The family wishes to thank the Niagara EMS, the doctors & nurses in the critical care unit of
Niagara Health System - St. Catharines Site.
