loving husband of nearly 40 years, Henry Keith Robertson, passed away in 2000. She has two
surviving sons, Donald (Lynn) and Bruce (Cee Cee) as well as her six beloved grandchildren
John, Matthew, Tory, Scott, Coco and William. Donna was pre-deceased by her older sister,
Leona Riess (nee Young) with surviving nephews Rick and Robert. Donna was born in Winnipeg, MB on November 18, 1932. After her marriage in 1961, she and Keith moved to Montreal, QC to raise their family. She was active with the Montreal General Hospital volunteer auxiliary, The Royal Montreal Golf Club, and her boys’ school, Lower Canada College. She prided herself in never missing one of her sons’ many hockey games, and her enthusiastic “Let’s Go LCC” cheer could be heard throughout the rink. After moving to St. Catharines in 1989, she was very active with committees and the board of the St. Catharines Golf and Country Club. She was an avid golfer who continued to play well into her later years. Donna was also active with St. Thomas’ Anglican Church. She resided at The Royal Henley Retirement Community, being actively involved with their seniors’ programs. Donna was a devoted mother and grandmother and will be deeply missed. Special acknowledgement is made to Foster Carter as a long-time friend, travel companion and supporter. A sincere thank you is made to the staff at Burloak Long Term Care Home for their kind and compassionate treatment of her in the final months. At Donna’s request, she has been cremated and will be laid to rest next to her husband Keith, in a private family ceremony in the columbarium at St. Thomas’ Anglican Church in St. Catharines. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Donna’s name to her favorite charities, The Canadian Cancer Society and the Alzheimer Society of Canada.
