It is with great regret that we announce the death of Barbara Hulse on Friday, February 17, 2012, in Ottawa. She passed peacefully after a long struggle with kidney disease. Barbara is survived by her sister Mary Quirt of Ottawa, nephew Brian and his wife Nancy Webster, and nephew David, his wife Brenda, and their children Kerry and Kevin. Predeceased by parents Percy and Olive Hulse, and brother-in-law Douglas Quirt. A lifelong resident of St. Catharines, Barbara was a devoted member of the St. Catharines Golf and Country Club and a skilled teacher in the city’s public schools. She will be remembered for her sharp wit, her generosity and her love of the performing arts. Barbara will be remembered in a graveside service at 10am on Saturday February 25th at Victoria Lawn Cemetery, St. Catharines.
