Sheila Maureen Christiansen

Sheila Maureen Christiansen, age 61, passed away on September 16, 2020. Sheila was born in Oakland California on September 4th, 1959, to Dr. Robert and Nadine Norton. Sheila graduated as Valedictorian at Southeast High School in Wichita, Kansas. She attended the University of Kansas (KU) where she was a member of the Sigma Kappa Sorority. She graduated on the Dean’s List and received her Bachelors Degree of Science in Physical Therapy in 1982.

While at KU, she met and married Chet Christiansen. They moved and spent their remaining years in St. Louis, MO, where Sheila began her 20+ career and retired with SSM Health as a home health physical therapist. Sheila is survived by her two children, Jason Christiansen and April Stang, and grandchildren Ava and Trevor Stang and Logan and Lilli Christiansen.

She was an active member of the Lutheran Church of the Living Christ where she explored and expanded her love of music as she was a member of the Bell Choir. Sheila loved music, from dancing, to singing, to playing her instruments. Above all, Sheila’s passion was for her family and friends.

Due to Covid19, a private funeral service celebrating her life will be held at Lutheran Church of the Living Christ at 2725 Concord Dr. Florissant, MO 63033 on September 26, 2020 at 10:00AM. The family will have a live zoom session available for those out of state or unable to attend in person.
