R. Dean McGraw, 93, of St. Louis, passed away October 22, 2012, surrounded by his loving family. Described by his family as a Christian man, a Cardinals fan, devoted husband, extraordinary father and loving grandfather, he is survived by his wife Letha McGraw, children Kelley (Chris) Tichenor, Tanya (Michael) Treiber and Nanette (Danny) Williams; grandchildren Tressa (Bill) Thomas, Alicia Williams, Amber Rognan, Tara Rognan Bryce Tichenor, Jordan Tichenor, and Logan Dean McGraw Tichenor; and great grandchildren Zoe Balser, Fernando Balser, Will Thomas and Nicholas Dean Thomas.
Mr. McGraw was born in Champaign, Ill., a son of William Harley and Mary Leona McGraw. His work led him to St. Louis where he served Watlow Electric for 43 years as an accountant. He enjoyed spending weekends at his family’s farm in Farmington, Mo. He also enjoyed camping and traveling. Mr. McGraw was a member of Parkway Baptist Church, also coaching the church’s softball and basketball teams.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, October 25, at Parkway Baptist Church, 12465 Olive Blvd, St. Louis Mo. 63141. Visitation will be at the church Thursday from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Interment will follow at Mt. Lebanon Cemetery.
