Melvin Mittendorf Jr., age 83, of Maryland Heights, Missouri passed away on Sunday, February 11, 2024. He was born October 22, 1940, to Gene and Lillian (nee: Rodermund) Mittendorf. They have preceded him in death, as have two brothers: Terry and Mike Mittendorf. Mel is survived by: his wife Debby Mittendorf (nee: Self); his children: Debby Scallorn (Steve), Cheryl Marler (Rick), Stacy Jayne (Andy), Kelly Mittendorf; his grandchildren: Kelcie Hesketh (Brian), Kayla Marler, Kara Roffler (Erik), Alex Hardesty, Jake Hardesty, Aubree Hardesty, Reece White, Riley White, Lauren Jacobs; his 5 great-grandchildren; his siblings: Carol and Gary; and a host of other family members.
Mel enjoyed his career as a tooling engineer. He enjoyed spending time by the water, especially at his lake house at the Lake of the Ozarks. He was a gun enthusiast. Mel was very handy and could fix anything, he enjoyed tinkering.
