Kirk is survived by his loving wife, Tina Ridenhour, who stood by his side through all of life’s journeys. Together, they raised three wonderful daughters: Jacqueline Ridenhour (Corey), Elizabeth Buddemeyer, and Jennifer and Ryan Weston. Kirk was a proud and devoted grandfather to Charles Lewis, Hadley Buddemeyer, Walker Weston, Oliver, Hunter, and eagerly awaited the arrival of his newest granddaughter, Sadie Starkey. His family was the center of his world, and he was happiest when surrounded by his grandchildren.
He is also survived by his parents, Donald and Donna Ridenhour, and his sister, Carla Ridenhour. Kirk was also loved by his parents-in-law, Charles and Jacqueline Bowman, his brother-in-law, Thomas Bowman (Lora), and his sister-in-law, Terry Raby. His loving nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and numerous cousins also mourn his loss, as do many dear friends.
Kirk was a man of deep faith and attended First Christian Church, where he found spiritual nourishment and community. He was a proud graduate of Belle High School and dedicated 30 years of service to UPS Freight. A member of Teamsters Local 600, Kirk’s hard work and dedication were evident throughout his career.
Kirk had a lifelong love of the outdoors. Whether it was fishing, boating, or camping, he found peace and joy in nature. He was also an avid fan of the St. Louis Cardinals, rarely missing a game. Kirk’s happiest moments were spent with family and friends, enjoying the simple pleasures of life.
Kirk's passing leaves a void in the hearts of those who knew and loved him, but his memory will live on in the stories shared, the love he gave, and the many lives he touched.
Kirk’s family will be having a Celebration of Life in his honor on September 21st, 2024 at 1:00 PM at their home, located at 2204 Wengler Ave., Overland, Missouri 63114.
