I met Katie by complete circumstance in a game called VRChat back in January 2020. We immediately hit it off and talked about life and all sorts of mischief. She admitted to me later that she never thought we'd speak again after that night. I honestly still laugh about it to this day. After that point, we just stuck around. 

	Against our better judgment, we decided after a while to meet in person. I remember feeling nervous that she was going to be completely different when I met her. To my luck, that wasn't the case. She was her true genuine self, and nothing felt different in the slightest. 

	She lifted me up in some of my darker moments and was always good to me. She thanked me for existing and being her friend, which meant the world to me. Even now, I feel fortunate to have had that connection. Even though I can't make any more memories, I can look back happily on the ones I made. 

	I met so many wonderful and amazing people because of her. People that I have the pleasure of calling my closest friends. I miss her every day, and that pain will stick for a while to come. However, I know that all I have to do is look at those around me and find solace in the gifts she left. See you in the next one Kitkat, and thank you for everything.

First time I met you on twitch it was like on late 2021 or early 2022, when I first clicked on your stream you looked like another 1930s vtuber that I know and already followed, but for some reason you sounded more interesting and more cooler then that other vtuber on twitch and her name is pumpkin and i remember in a stream you told me that you know her and you and her were friends and I thought that was pretty cool, but for real tho, when I first clicked on your stream you had a very beautiful and cool black and white model, and your voice was so soothing and relaxing, and you were also one of the most welcoming vtuber’s I met on twitch, and the stuff you talked about and games you played, had my interests, so I had to follow you you feel me, I known you on twitch for almost 2 years now and I will miss you talking about 1930s and 50’s movies all the time, and I will you talking about being a member of a space crew and calling yourself a astro-nyaht, you’ll never be forgotten and we love you you cat/goat/1930s dancer girl, RIP darling 🕊️💜🫡🙏🏾

I didn't get to watch many of your streams, but I remember seeing your streams when you were still a 1930s cartoon character.  And one of the things I love a lot is classic cartoons.

I wish I could have seen your newer branding as this connects with another of my passions, spaceflight, something I actively cover on my streaming channels.

You were a warm, gentle, welcoming person to those  who came to see you.  I count myself very fortunate to be one of those people.

I'd like to express my condolences to your family, your friends, your loved ones, your viewers and fellow streamers and VTubers whose lives you'd enriched with your presence.

Katie (Betsy) was a kind and gentle soul who was taken from her Family, Friends, and Community far too soon. She was a friend and a streamer who, by no fault of her own, didn't reach the success that I and many of us goatlings/cadets wanted for her. She was a talented artist whose art streams helped us wind down after a hard day.. She was a gamer, one that was so animated at times, we couldn't help but laugh and love. She was a light that helped us all find our way out of the dark. She was a vtuber, taking time out of her life to entertain a bunch of strangers on the internet and genuinely asking how we were if we popped up in chat after a while. In my opinion, the titles of "vtuber" or "streamer" don't really explain what Betsy was to us. To me, as soon as I joined stream for the first time, I felt more like a part of a family.

Dear Betsy,

I'm glad I got the chance to meet you betsy. You were always such a sweetheart... I hope to see you again in another life, in some way.

Betsy was one of my favorite people on Twitch . Every interaction I had with her was a delight. Whether it was showing her the goofy video I made of her, helping her with some MIC issues or just saying hello. She was always kind and a joy to talk to. I'll miss her greatly.

I wanted to send this out before the day is over. I first discovered Katlyn/Katie/Betsy on Twitch. I noticed her little goat model, and it was so cute I HAD to see! I was very shy at the time though, but I did say hello a few times. I soon followed Betsy's channel after, she was such a kindhearted soul and funny too! However, at the time I was also having a difficult time in my life and spent it on my own mostly, I wasn't around as much sadly. Every now and then, I would stop to hang out, and each time I felt so comfortable and found myself smiling whenever joining a stream. Though I could not make it to the redebut, I joined a later stream to see her catsronaut model  which was very cute, so much love was put into it, and it felt good to be back! Betsy inspired me to keep being more kind to others and myself, to try and work on my own characters. It is thanks to her, that my heart had grown just a bit more back then and now, and I've become better for it. Though my time in Betsy's community felt short, I will never forget her, and the times I have had there. To Edward and Kristen, to Katlyn's family, thank you for bringing one of the most kindhearted, and loved souls I ever met in the world, in her honor I will continue to bring more love and kindness to others, as we all need more of it. To Betsy, thank you for everything, I miss you dearly, but I know you're out there at among the stars you loveable catsronaut, may you rest in peace. <3

I quietly followed Betsy on Twitch and Twitter but i really got to know her when i bumped into her randomly in a public world on VRchat. She took me to her favorite world and we quietly just vibed and it was fantastic. It was a while before we got to hang out again, i saw her online and i dropped in - went world-hopping with her and her friends (we all turned into shrimp avatars cause she thought it would be funny)
She also helped me meet one of my greatest friends, Syrup.

I never got to meet katie out side of streams but I always remember the cool conversations we have and her amazing art oh and the film discussion she just finally got to stream metropolis I remember that her favorite film and how exciting she was for us to see it that was so much fun I going miss her I so sorry for your lose katie she was a real one

To my great regret, I only knew Katie briefly and fleetingly. However in that time it was clear that she was a very special person, sweet, funny, and open to most anyone. Despite only talking to her on occasion, I thought of her highly and frequently.

I extend my deepest condolences to those who knew her more closely, her passing is already devastating to me so I can only imagine the loss you must be feeling.

Katie will live on in all our hearts, in the jokes she made that stuck with people, in her art that touched so many people, and most of all in the memories of her kindness.

I knew Katie as Kiwi online; a fun and quirky online moniker which represented her equally fun and out-there personality. I met her in early 2019 during a dark time in my life, and to say she's had a lasting impact on me over the years is an understatement. She truly helped me become the person I am today with her optimism, her compassion and empathy, her ambitious drive and almost constant uplifting spirit, and of course all her wonderful artwork and never-ending talent.

All my memories with her are good ones, of amazing times, comedy, and laughter, and I'll cherish those the rest of my life. I never met her in person, but through our time online I am so honoured to have known her, and that was able to call your daughter and sister my friend.

For most of my life I haven't live in the most healthiest of environments. It has been over a year since I moved away from that, and while trying to spending my free time doing something during my rebuilding of myself, i stumbled across Katie's Streams on Twitch as Betsy. She had the most adorable model when I got in. it was so wonderful how kind she was to her chat. I was super impressed so i decided to follow her. I gave a "Wazzup" as my hello and she gave one right back. After watching her streams and getting to know the kind of person she was I really felt she had such a kind heart. I like to use the idea that she was a candle in the darkness that helped ignite other candles, giving them hope at life again. Another saying, "A single person never knows the true amount of souls they touched." She touched mine, and she will be dearly missed.

Betsy was a very kind and sweet soul who cared about everyone no matter who they were. She accepted each and one of us and made us feel right at home, providing us one of the comfiest spaces i have been to. Her art was amazing, she was very very talented. May she Rest In Peace.

she was my first commission and i got to do the character sheet for her streaming personality. she supported me so much and shared lots of positivity to everyone around her, i spitballed so many ideas with her about more fan art, however in total i only drew a handful of images. it was an honor getting to know such an admirable soul, and i will always cherish the memories i made speaking to her and watching her streams. 

I'll never forget how I first met Katie, to me it was the wildest story at the time. In 2011, I had seen her wonderful art on an art-hosting website first before seeing her art again randomly in my high school art class. I asked myself "What are the odds of me knowing this online artist and seeing them in person?" I sent her a message, and turns out we had mutual friends and the same art teacher in different classes. Before we had the chance to talk in person, we traded art to each other through her class cubby, and to this day I remember the excitement I had receiving these pieces from her. We bonded over the movie Rise of the Guardians and would gush about our favorite characters until we eventually saw the movie premiere together. Going into Webster, I was happy to visit with her again in animation club and occasionally running into her after her class while she shared her recent projects. She gave me this Doris sticker that I accidentally crinkled up and I felt so bad that I didn't use the sticker and held onto it instead. I'm thankful Doris found their way back to me after reminiscing about Katie and the times we shared. Although we lost touch after graduating from Webster, I'll never forget how kind of a soul she has. I'd wish the best in her endeavors wherever she wanted to go. It's heartbreaking to hear this news of her passing, but it's clear to see how many lives she's touched over the years. May her memory live on through the connections she made and the love she shared with others. My condolences to her close friends and family during this difficult time.

Katie poured her heart and soul into streaming.  It brought her so much joy to be able to stream that, even on her darkest days, she would perk right up by just chatting with her loving community. She suffered from the same self-doubt that all of us do, of whether or not she made the right choice or if people truly loved it. However, after seeing the absolutely monumental amount of kind words, amazing memories, beautiful art, stories, and love that has come pouring in it’s clear that she never had anything to worry about. I know she’s out among the stars somewhere laughing and chuckling in her gremliny little way knowing how much people truly loved her and everything she did.

We'll never forget Katie and all the countless wonderful experiences we had with her. Don't regret the things that didn't happen, treasure all the stuff that did happen.  Bud, wherever you are now just know I love you dude, and will never forget you. 

I knew Katie first has an artist and then as a friend. She brought so much joy to those with whom she shared her passions, her craft, and her wit. Oftentimes talking with her could turn a rough night around, or her art make a bad week brighter. I regret not getting to know her sooner, to see her grow into the wonderful person she was. It is the world's loss that she passed too soon. Creator, curator, and critic-- here's to a very special lady.

May her memory be a light to those of us in dark times. 

I first met Katlyn at the start of 2020 in an online in a game called 'Vr Chat', her in game name being Kiwi. Immediately, even from across the world, she had made an ever lasting impression on me as a sweet and kind person. 

One of the first interaction I had with her was jokingly calling her an imposter kiwi (im from New Zealand and Kiwi is what we are referred to), it will forever hold on to that memory as it sparked an exciting friendship.

To the family of Katlyn, I stand with you in memory and friendship. I like to believe that no one is truly gone, as everyone remembers a loved one in slightly different ways, capturing the person as a whole.

Katlyn was an amazing friend and I wish her a restful passing.

I only knew her as Heaven's To Betsy but I was glad to have known her she was such a kind and sweet lass. She will be forever missed.
