Geraldine "Jerry" Mildred Mueller (nee Vette), a beloved member of the St. Louis community, passed away peacefully on November 8, 2024, at the age of 93. Born on June 30, 1931, in St. Louis, MO, Jerry spent her entire life in the city she loved, touching countless lives with her kindness and dedication.
Jerry's life was marked by her selfless service to others. She dedicated over 50 years volunteering at the Lutheran Resale Shop, where her warm smile and generous spirit made her a cherished friend and mentor to many. Her passion for helping others extended beyond the shop, as she also found joy in guiding young hearts as a Girl Scout Leader and softball coach.
Her melodic voice was a treasured addition to the church choir, where she sang praises with devotion and love. Jerry had an enduring affection for old-time country music, which brought her immense joy and comfort throughout her life.
Preceded in death by her husband, Charles William Mueller Sr.; her parents, Roy Vette Sr. and Leona Henrietta Amelia Vette (nee Baumann); and her siblings, Roy Vette (Rose), Virginia Wiley (Bob), Eleanor Parsons (Warren), and Lois Keller (Ed), Jerry leaves behind a legacy of love and compassion.
She is survived by her loving children: Charlene Eleanor Walters (Mark), Charles "Chuck" William Mueller (Julie), and Marlene Leona Mueller. Jerry's legacy continues with her grandchildren: Mary Wilt, Rachel Barnhart, Christine Taylor, Matt Walters, Greg Mueller, Eric Mueller, Stephanie Mueller, and her nine great-grandchildren, who will remember her as a gentle and guiding presence in their lives.
Family and friends are invited to honor Jerry's life during a visitation on Tuesday, November 12, 2024, from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Alexander White Mullen Funeral Home, located at 11101 St. Charles Rock Rd, St. Ann, MO 63074. A funeral service celebrating her life will be held at the same location on Wednesday, November 13, 2024, at 11:00 a.m., followed by a committal service at Mount Lebanon Cemetery.
Jerry's life was a testament to the power of love, community, and faith. She will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate enough to know her.
