Frances L Springer

Frances Lynn Springer, age 90, of Saint Ann, Missouri passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 19, 2023. Frances was a beloved mother to Dr. George (Susan Bucci) Springer, Jr., Sandra (Margaret Ryan) Springer, grandmother to Jazz, Adam, Grant (Ana), Gavin, and Garrett, great grandmother to Grace, Riley, Ansley, Jordyn Jo-Loni, Jaidyn Jo-voni, and Jayna Jo-Lynn, and a cherished cousin. She is preceded in death by her mother, Ondie (nee Smith) Taylor, mother-in-law, Mary Doak, and her beloved husband George Springer, Sr. She leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories with her family and friends.

Frances was a dedicated and longtime member of the Order of Eastern Star, with her last membership at the Florissant Chapter. Her commitment to this organization demonstrated her strong sense of community and support for others.

In her kitchen, Frances found joy and fulfillment. She had a passion for cooking and delighted in watching cooking shows, with the Food Network being a constant source of inspiration. She often referred to Martha Stewart as her idol in the kitchen. Frances had a green thumb and a deep appreciation for the beauty of flowers, particularly roses. Her favorite song, “The Rose,” encapsulated her love for the delicate flower. She enjoyed gardening and tended to her blooms with great care.

Frances found solace in the art of quilting and dedicated her skills to crafting lap blankets for individuals going through cancer treatments. Her warmth and compassion shone through in these thoughtful creations, providing comfort during challenging times.

She was also a familiar face to many in her community as she worked as a cashier at her daughter’s restaurants, the Gateway Grill and Grandma’s Country Kitchen. Their strong mother-daughter relationship was a testament to the love they shared.

Frances’s love and presence will be deeply missed by her family and friends. A celebration of her life is planned for a later date. In memory of Frances Springer may her love, kindness, and culinary passion continue to inspire and warm in our hearts.
