Wanda G. Davis, 56, joined the Lord November 17, 2013. Determined a walking miracle by her many doctors, Wanda’s constant goal was just more time with her family. Wanda worked for the Department of Defense for 25 years where she eventually retired on disability. She worked for Kevin J. Kelley part-time for 10 years as a legal assistant before retiring altogether due to further complications of her health. As a member of Calvary Road Baptist Church in Alexandria Virginia, she attended until her health prohibited her. The Lord blessed her with more time and has now called her home.
Wanda is survived by her husband of 38 years, Duane Davis; two daughters, Christina Davis-Luczak and spouse, Michelle Vasquez and spouse; and eight grandchildren (Antonio, Alexis, Brianna, Camron, Isabella, Leo, Riley, and one on the way). Wanda is also survived by her mother, Pauline Sunderland and many other extended family members. Wanda is predeceased by her father Donald Durrette, Sr. and mother-in-law Theresa Davis.
Viewing will commence at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, November 23, 2013.
