He was born August 6, 1947, in Alexandria to Mary A. Bevis and James W. Bevis. Tom served in Vietnam with the U.S. Navy SEABEES and received several commendations. For many years he owned and operated Bevis Truck Repair in Springfield, VA.
Survivors include his wife, Diane Bevis of Warrenton, parents James and Mary Bevis of Woodbridge, daughters Kimberly Jackson of Marshall, Melissa McDaniel of Warrenton, and son Rob Bevis of Northern Virginia, and five grandchildren. Brothers John of Springfield, Carl of Seattle, WA and Ken of Twisp, WA, also survive him.
Visitations will be held on Friday, October 17 at Demaine Funeral Home on 5308 Backlick Rd. Springfield, VA. from 11:30-1:30 followed by a service in the chapel at 1:30. Interment will be private with his family.
