Terri Lynn Gonzales of Springfield, Virginia passed away peacefully on Thursday October 26th at home surrounded by her two daughters and her dog Kiya. She was born on March 5, 1959 to Warren L. Sheaffer and Eleanor (Sis) V. Sheaffer. She was preceded in death by her parents and loving husband Samuel (Sammy) Stephen Gonzales. Terri is survived by her two daughters Nicole Acevedo (Will), Brittani Gonzales, grandson William Stephen Acevedo, granddaughter Eleanor Renae Acevedo, sister in laws Brenda Gonzales and Anna Putze (Gery), brother in law Danny Gonzales as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Terri was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend to everyone. Terri was the life of the party everywhere she went. She lit up the room the minute she walked in. She worked in software as an office administrator for her career. Terri really enjoyed her job at immixGroup and was really sad when she had to stop working due to her declining health. She also was the primary caretaker of her mother Sis and husband Sammy when they became ill. She loved with all of her heart and really enjoyed taking care of others. She enjoyed watching the cowboys play, horse racing, nascar racing, bowling, and playing cards. She loved dancing to oldies with her daughter Brittani and getting her hair done by her daughter Nicole. She loved being Mammom to her grandchildren William and Eleanor. Terri loved her family and work family with all of her heart. Family & friends gathering will be held on Friday November 17th at Demaine Funeral Home from 6-8pm and a memorial service will be held on Saturday November 18th at St. John’s UMC at 2pm. A special thank you to friends, St. John’s, and to the people at Promedica Hospice for their loving care and support during her last days. The family would like to extend their sincerest gratitude to Demaine Funeral Home for being very accommodating and understanding during this difficult time.
