

Ron was born in Riverside, California on October 9, 1937 to Elva and Alfred Dooley. He was a long-term resident of Northern Virginia.
Ron began his education in Riverside, California. Following the eleventh grade, he left high school to join the military. Later in life he resumed his education attending night school while holding a full-time job to become a proud graduate of American University.
On June 24, 1967 Ron married Pattie Robert Wiener in Springfield, Virginia.
His professional career centered in law enforcement, holding several positions ranging from patrol officer for the County of Fairfax to Auditor of Records for the Commonwealth of Virginia. Ron was an Army veteran, having served in Korea and several US postings. He was a proud member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Scottish Rite of Freemasonry, Elks Lodge and the Fairfax County Retired Police Association.
Ron is survived by Pattie Robert Dooley, his wife of 60 years; brother, Larry Dooley, two children, Ruthie (Rolf) Hille of Daniel Island, SC and Robert (Bill Norris) Wiener of Washington DC; four grandchildren Tara (Bryan) Hall of Mt Pleasant, SC, Chris (Valarie) Hille of San Antonio, TX, Garrick Yuriditsky of Las Vegas, NV and John (Nicole) Rendo of Manassas, VA; nine great-grandchildren including Hannah Hall, Megan Hall, Jessica Hall, Alyssa Hille, Bianca Crawford, Brodie Crawford, Easton Hille, Nolan Hille and Kyle Coburn; and one great-great-grandchild Karliah Addington.
He was predeceased by his parents Elva and Alfred Dooley, brother Jerry Dooley, daughter Susan Yuriditsky, and great-grandson Christopher Nathan Hille.
Visitation will be from 4:00 to 6:00 pm on Sunday March 6th at Domaine Funeral Home, 5308 Backlick Road, Springfield, VA, dignitymemorial.com. Funeral services will be held March 7th from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church, 5800 Backlick Rd, Springfield, VA, www.stmarks-elca.org, with the Pastor Triolo of St. Mark’s Lutheran Church officiating. Burial will follow at Fairfax Memorial Park, 9900 Braddock Rd, Fairfax, VA, www.fmpark.com at 1:00 pm. Arrangements are by Demaine Funeral Home.
