On Wednesday, August 5, 2015, Rita Dyer, of Springfield, VA died from complications of lung cancer. Rita was born in Brooklyn, New York, in 1942, the second of five children to Agnes and Thomas Campbell. She is a graduate of Marquette University and served in The United States Navy as a Registered Nurse. She continued her career as a civilian nurse for almost 4 decades.
She was proceeded in death by her beloved husband of 47 years, John T. Dyer, Jr., in 2014. She is survived by her 2 younger brothers, Robert and James Campbell, and their families; her only daughter and son in law, Erin and Joe Pearson; and her 3 grandchildren, Jordan, Ethan, and Jaclyn.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be said at Holy Spirit Catholic Church on Tuesday August 18
