Paul J. Mackie passed away peacefully after battling cancer on June 15, 2014 at the age of 66. He was surrounded by his wife, Phyllis Mackie, of Burke, VA and his daughter, Lindsay Mackie, of Arlington, VA. He was born in Detroit, MI and moved to Burke, VA to work in shopping center development. He was an active member at Springfield Golf and Country Club as well as an avid hockey and baseball fan. There will be a viewing at Demaine Funeral Home in Springfield, VA on Thursday, June 19, 2014 from 5:00pm-8:00pm and a mass on Friday, June 20, 2014 at 10:30am at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Annandale, VA.
