We were fortunate to meet and know Jim in the V8 Club,  and were  deeply impressed by his charming personality,  his incredible knowledge,  his many skills,  and his hard work for our members.  Sadly,  his departure from this world leaves a void that cannot ever be filled.
We ask God's blessings on him now and on his beloved Char and their wonderful family.  May we all be reunited again someday in everlasting peace.

My prayers to all of the McDaniel family. I had the pleasure and honor of knowing Jim. We had crossed paths through the years, probably starting in June- October 1971 in Chu Lai, then Marble Mountain (dif units, D Trp 1/1). This was followed up possibly at Fort Bliss where I was stationed when I returned from Vietnam in Mar 72 and then possibly crossing paths a Davidson AAF 86-89. Dean Resch offered me a job with him in June 2001at Hqs FAA where I'd see Jim quite often until I moved onto a CS position with OSHA (small world). He was one of a few people I truly admired and was glad I had the opportunity to know and learn from. Always!
