Jaime Enrique Maldonado passed away peacefully on February 4th, 2018 in his home surrounded by family. He was a loving husband to Sandra, whom he met in 1978 as teenagers and then married in 1984. Born on July 9th, 1959 in Lima, Peru to Carlos and Elena Maldonado, he grew up surrounded by a large family of siblings, cousins and friends. He moved to Springfield, Virginia in 1994 and was able to bring his family the following year. Hard-working and dedicated to providing for his family, he enjoyed playing soccer, hanging out with friends, the beach, his dogs and listening to salsa and 80’s music.
Jaime was a devoted husband, father, abuelo, sibling, and friend to many people. With an infectious personality and a giving heart, he supported many charities and was always grateful for what he had. His faith in God was strong until the very end.
He is survived by his wife Sandra, children Carlos Mauricio and Sandra Giuliana and grandchildren Layla, Sofia and CJ, siblings Carlos, Cesar, Freddy, Miryan, Clarisa and Willy, whom adored him.
He will be missed dearly by all that knew him, but his memory will live on in our hearts.
