Irma Magg Wenzel

Wenzel Irma Passed away July 25, 2013 at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center following a short but severe illness. Irma was born April 27, 1938 in Mering, Germany to Josef and Maria Magg. Beloved wife of Paul J. Wenzel and devoted mother of Carmen M. (Ed) Francis and cherished grandmother of Ashley and Alexa Davis, and of Connor Wenzel, whom she raised since he was three years old. A long-time associate of Sears and Roebuck, Irma exercised daily and was active in the Military Catholic Women of the Chapel at Ft. Belvoir, VA. Irma was predeceased by her two sons, Paul J., Jr. and Michael F. and her only brother Josef. She is survived by her sister Marianne (James) Simmons, her niece Sylvia and her nephew Jurgen. Visitation will be held at the Demaine Funeral Home in Springfield, on Thursday, August 8, 2013 from 6 to 8 pm and a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, August 9 at 10:30 am at the Ft. Belvoir Woodlawn Chapel. Inurnment at the Arlington National Cemetery at a later date.
