

Born July 6, 1939 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, he served in the United States Army for 27 years, retiring at the rank of Colonel. He was a highly decorated combat veteran who served with distinction and was wounded several times in the Central Highlands of Viet Nam. His decorations include the Bronze Star with Valor device, two Purple Hearts, and the Combat Infantryman Badge. An Air Defense Artilleryman by trade, while serving on the Joint Staff in the late eighties and early nineties Jerry had a critical impact on Joint Military Education that persists within the U.S. Department of Defense today. He retired in 1991.
He is survived by Kathy, his beloved wife of 47 years, son Jeff and his wife Michelle Dunn of Stafford, Virginia, daughter Cindy and her husband Bill Dupray of Fairfax Station, Virginia, the five greatest grandchildren in the world, Jefferson, Savannah and Anna Grace Dunn and Jack and Hannah Dupray, sister Pat Wood of Yardley, Pennsylvania, and numerous beloved brothers and sisters-in-law and nieces and nephews.
Jerry will be laid to rest with full military honors at Arlington National Cemetery later this year.
