George Franklin Towery

Of Springfield, VA, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family on Friday evening, August 11, 2017. He was a beloved father, grandfather, and lifelong educator. His legacy will live through his children, grandchildren, and through the many lives he touched during his career in the public school system. He is survived by his sons, daughter, daughters-in-law, grandchildren, and a host of friends, colleagues, and former students. He was the epitome of kindness and goodness and will be terribly missed. Remembrance services will be held later this week at Grace Presbyterian Church, where he was a treasured member of the congregation.
