On May 23, 2015 in Springfield, VA. Beloved wife for 57 years of Richard I. Proctor; mother of Richard A. Proctor (Naples, FL), Margaret Casciano (Nokesville, VA) Stephen Proctor (Malabar, FL), Patricia Totten (Laurel, MD) and Frank Proctor (Wilmington, DE). Her husband, Richard, died in 2011. In addition to her children, Dorothy is survived by ten Proctor and Casciano grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Before moving to Springfield, Dorothy was a longtime resident of Riverdale, MD, and Bethany Beach, DE. She worked as a secretary to the director of the Washington, D.C. Department of Corrections and later at Parkdale High School in Riverdale. She was a member of the Red Hat Society and volunteered at the Bethany Beach Public Library. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 2, at St. John Neumann Church in Berlin, MD, preceded by a viewing at 10 a.m.
