Bobby is survived by his wife, Martha; and children, Melanie (Dewane), Stephanie (Jay), Grace (Michael), James (Christiana). He was preceded in death by his son Mark. Survived by six grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Bobby was born on January 21, 1939 in Piedmont, Alabama to Cecil and Annie. While serving his country with great distinction for 20 years, he rose to the rank of Master sergeant in the US Army. His tours included Vietnam, Korean DMZ and Joint Chiefs of Staff.
Bobby loved fishing, bird watching, and handiwork. He was a dedicated member and volunteer at New Hope Church. Most of all, Bobby was dedicated to his family and touched many lives.
A memorial service is scheduled for January 8, 2021 at Demaine Funeral Home in Springfield, VA from 4-6 p.m. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Bobby’s life. Due to COVID, if you are unable to attend, the service will be virtually available on the Demaine website.
