William was born December 3, 1928 in Springfield, the son of Charles Frederick and Evelyn Volker Moore. He married Virginia C. Braker; she preceded him in death.
He was also preceded in death by his parents; one son, Alan; and one grandchild.
He is survived by children, Bill Moore Jr, Gene (Rhonda) Moore, Barb Moore; all of Springfield and Garnet (Jeff) Kindhart of Grantsburg; eight grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; three great-grandchildren with one on the way; one brother, Paul (Norma) Moore; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation and Graveside ceremony: Family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m.- 11:00 a.m, on Friday, November 13, 2015 at Boardman-Smith Funeral Home, 800 South Grand Ave., West, Springfield. Graveside ceremonies will follow at Old Salem Cemetery.
