

He was born September 28, 1925, the son of Bernard and Erma McCue.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Dorothy.
He married Joan Parrish on May 5th, 1951, and was a devoted husband and father to their three daughters, Cynthia J. (husband Lonz) Spears, Christina McCue and Cheryl Hinrichs.
Also survivng are four grandsons, Bill, Justin, Jason and Corey, three great-grandsons, niece, Kay Bell and cousins, William Kamm and Nancy Peters.
He graduated from Riverton High School, attended Springfield Junior College and graduated from the University of Illinois in 1949. Bill placed among the top eight in the nation for the Certified Public Accountant examination in November, 1952.
Bill served in the Army, achieving the rank of Sergeant, from 1944-1946, in both the European and Pacific Theaters.
Bill worked and later became a senior partner in the CPA firm of Meyer and VanMeter.
Services are under the direction of Bisch Funeral Home West, 2931 S. Koke Mill Rd., Springfield where visitation will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 22, 2012 from 12 Noon until time of the funeral service at 1:30 pm. The funeral will also be held at the funeral home, with Justin Waldron officiating. Burial will follow at Rochester Cemetery, Rochester, IL.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the APL (Animal Protective League), 1001 Taintor Rd, Springfield, IL 62702, and/or the Land of Lincoln Honor Flight Program, c/o Ray Wiedle, 10912 St. Francis Ln, St. Ann, MO 63074, which provides trips to war Veterans to see their memorials in Washington, D.C.
