William T. "Bill" Grant, III, 46, of Los Angeles, CA, formerly of Springfield, died one day prior to his 47th birthday, at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 3, 2012 at Cedars-Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles, CA. Bill was born June 4, 1965 in Taylorville, the son of William T. and Pam E. Boaden Grant, Jr. Bill graduated from Rochester High School in 1983 and earned his Bachelor's Degree from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale in 1987. He then graduated from the National Automotive Dealership Academy. Bill worked for Landmark Automotive Group since he was fourteen years old, and while in college he was hand selected to attend the Walt Disney Management School at Disney World. He was a trustee of United Cerebral Palsy, a member of Panther Creek Country Club and Phi Sigma Epsilon fraternity, and a past member of Island Bay Yacht Club. Bill was known for his love of life and having no fear. He enjoyed playing golf, boating, and scuba diving. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, William T. and Anna R. Grant and his maternal grandparents, Daris and Blanche Boaden. He is survived by his son, Mason B. Grant of Louisville, KY; parents, William T. and Pam E. Grant, Jr. of Springfield; brother, Sean B. (wife, Taryn R. ) Grant of Springfield; sister, Gina E. (fianc, Jeff Tesio) Grant of Wesley Chapel, FL; two nieces, Taylor and Aislyn Grant; one nephew, Aidan Grant; several aunts, uncles, and cousins; and many friends. Visitation: Family will receive friends from 4:00 7:00 p.m. on Monday, June 18, 2012 at Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home, 900 S. 6th St., Springfield. Visitation will begin with a prayer service at 4:00 p.m. Funeral Mass: 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 19, 2012 at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 1725 S. Walnut St., Springfield with Rev.
