William D. Geiser

William D. "Bill" Geiser, 50, of Jacksonville passed away in Morgan County on Wednesday, December 2, 2009. Bill was born in Monterrey, CA on September 14, 1959, the son of William C. and Beverly Martin Geiser. He graduated from Griffin High School and attended SIU. He had been employed by Harper Oil, the Illinois State Police and private contracting businesses. Bill was a sensitive, caring man with a warm heart who liked spending time with his family. He enjoyed being outdoors, golfing and hunting in his younger years. He is survived by two sons, Ryan Forkin and Conner Geiser both of Dallas, TX; his mother, Beverly Geiser of Winter Haven, FL; four siblings, Paula (husband, Tom) Balch of Clinton, NY, John Geiser of Dallas, TX, Gia (husband, Levent) Ozyurt of Springfield and Bart (wife, Jessica) Geiser of Frisco, TX; and nieces and nephews, Kate, Anne and Elizabeth Balch, Jack, Berk and Willa Ozyurt and Cain Geiser. Family will receive friends on Thursday, December 17, 2009 from 11:00 to 11:45 a. m. at Christ the King Catholic Church, 1930 Barberry Drive, Springfield. Funeral Mass will follow at 12:00 p.m. with Rev. Msgr. David Lantz celebrant. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Prairie Village Health Care Center, 1024 W.
