William Raymond "Bill" Geiser, formerly known as, William R. Gieser, 63, of Springfield, died at 7:21 p.m. on Saturday, March 8, 2008. Bill was born on June 28, 1944 in Chicago, the son of Raymond Wesley and Patricia Margarite Hartung Gieser. Bill graduated from St. James Trade School in 1962 before serving his country in the Navy from 1962 through 1965. Preceding Bill in death was his father, Raymond Wesley Gieser. He is survived by his Mother Patricia Gieser; brothers Richard and Michael Gieser of CA; and his sister, Eileen Gieser of CA. Family will receive friends from 12:30-1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 18, 2008 at Kirlin-Egan and Butler Funeral Home, 900 S. 6th St., Springfield. Graveside ceremonies will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 18, 2008 at Camp Butler National Cemetery. Military honors will be provided by the United States Department of Defense.
