Vicky A. (Turasky) Smith Hare

Vicky was born February 26, 1968, in Springfield, the daughter of John and Marcella “Marcy” (Webb) Turasky. She was married on July 11, 2007, in Springfield.

Vicky graduated from Divernon High School in 1985 and owned and operated her own cleaning business called Vicky’s Cleaning. She also co-owned Hare’s Concrete. Vicky enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, being outdoors in the sun; gardening, and traveling across the country. One could always find her smoking with a glass of cold wine watching her favorite show, Judge Judy, or watching Lifetime shows.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Debbie Turasky; and two infant twin grandsons.

Vicky is survived by her children, Leon Jr. (Jennifer) Smith, Marsha Smith, Amber Smith, and Jeremiah Hare, all of Springfield; grandchildren, Kyleigh Smith, Brycen Smith, and Amariah Stephenson; siblings, Shelly (Joe) Hatcher of Springfield and John (Angela) Turasky of Sherman; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Visitation: Family will receive friends from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 18, 2023, at Butler Funeral Home-Springfield, 900 South Sixth Street Springfield, IL 62703.

Funeral Ceremony: 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 19, 2023, at Butler Funeral Home-Springfield with Pastor Calvin Miller officiating.

Cremation will be provided by Butler Cremation Tribute Center following ceremonies.
