Verna J. West

She was born in Mt. Olive, IL April 7, 1936 the daughter of Lester and Leona (Burge) Wiedler. She married Melvin E. West at Trinity Lutheran Church in Springfield, April 10, 1955 and he survives.

She is also survived by her son, Tracy (wife Cyndy) West of Loami, IL, her daughter, Sabrina West of Springfield, her grandchildren; Brandon West,of Jacksonville, IL, Angela (husband Jeff) Miller of Houston, TX and Stephanie (husband Jason) Klingler of Olney, IL. There are 6 great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her step-father, George Boynton, two sons, Mark and John West, and a sister Rosalie Tritelli.

Verna was a member of Salem Lutheran Church in Jacksonville. Prior to her retirement, she worked as a book keeper at Illinois National Bank.

A private family service will be held at the Bisch Funeral Home West in Springfield. Burial will be in Oak Ridge Cemetery, Springfield.
