She was born on August 13, 1944 in Staunton, IL, the daughter of the late John and Mary Angal.
Vera worked for the State of Illinois and for Franklin Life Insurance Company. She later worked at Giganti and Giganti Jewelers in Springfield. She had served as secretary for the Panther Creek West Homeowners Association, was an avid golfer, and enjoyed playing tennis and doing yoga.
She is survived by long- time friends Donna Roetker, Bob and Sharon Harbour, and many other friends and neighbors here in Springfield, and most importantly, the love of her life, her little dog Rocky.
Arrangements are under the direction of Bisch Funeral Home West, Springfield. Per her wishes, cremation rites were accorded. No services are scheduled at this time.
