Tom was born on June 12, 1957, in Pontiac, IL, the son of Joseph and Verna (Miller) Kelso. He married Janis “Jan” Hamilton on October 26, 1985, in Springfield.
Tom was a Senior Metropolitan Planner for IDOT.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Doug.
Tom is survived by his wife, Janis “Jan” Kelso; one son, Nick Kelso of Springfield; two siblings, Debbie (Steve) Schopp of Odell, IL and Jorjann (Danny) Howell of Morris, IL; and several nieces and nephews.
Cremation was provided by Butler Cremation Tribute Center.
The family will host a Celebration of Life on Wednesday, September 28, 2022, from 12:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at Papa Frank’s, 4111 Wabash Ave. Springfield, IL 62711.
