Terry was born on November 30, 1941, in Versailles, IL, the son of Taylor W. and Erma Hill Campbell. He married Janice Kaye Sy on November 14, 1969, in Champaign. She preceded him in death on March 1, 2010.
Terry graduated from Lanphier High School and proudly served his county in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. He was most proud of his service aboard the USS Saratoga as an Electronics Technician. He retired from Franklin Life Insurance. Terry loved cats, and in his spare time he attended cat shows with his wife, Janice. They enjoyed volunteering together in support of area animal welfare organizations. Terry was an avid reader, especially enjoying science fiction.
Terry is also preceded in death by his parents; brother, Samuel Campbell; and sister, Sharon Robinson.
He is survived by his son, Edward (Denise) Bass of Tucson, AZ; grandchildren, Michael and Daniel, both of Berwyn, IL.
