Susan P. Kilby

Susan Patrice Kilby, 62, of Divernon, passed away at 10:45 a.m. on Friday, April 13, 2018 at St. Johns Hospital. Susan was born November 8, 1955 in Springfield, the daughter of John Merle and J. Ruth McKinney Ketchum. She married Frank Kilby, Jr. on May 22, 1997. Susan graduated from Ursuline Academy in Springfield and received her LPN from Capital Area Vocational Center. She worked at St. Johns Hospital and several other physicians offices, including Prairie Heart Center. Susan loved the St. Louis Cardinals and Green Bay Packers. She enjoyed crocheting and spending time with her grandchildren and her dogs. Susan was preceded in death by her parents; and one granddaughter, Susan Denise Baird. She is survived by her husband, Frank Kilby, Jr. of Divernon; son, Jason Bowen of Springfield; daughter, Jennifer (Ken) Baird-Duffy of Springfield; step-daughter, Wendy Bohus of Hepners, VA; eleven grandchildren, William, Madie, Abby, Gabe, Jace, Gage, Brendan, Ellie, Paul, Rachel, and Adelaide; and three siblings, James (Dawn) Ketchum, Charles (Paula) Ketchum, and Mary Jacobs all of Springfield; and several nieces and nephews. Memorial Gathering: Family will receive friends from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 21, 2018 at Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home, 900 S. 6th Street, Springfield. The gathering will begin with a prayer service with Rev. Clarence Rogers.
