Susan Lee Kane

Susan Lee Kane, 67, of Glenarm, passed away on November 18, 2021 at her residence. She was born on October 16, 1954 in Champaign to Robert Copeland and Carole Marshall. Susan married James Kane in Springfield on April 24, 1976 and he survives.

Mrs. Kane is also survived by her daughters: Kimberly (Steve) Biesiada of Springfield and Kelley (Phil) Fugnitti of Auburn, nine grandchildren: Madison, Kamryn, Isabella, Araelya, Braylen, Gianna, Asher, Roman and Sophia; several nieces and nephews; great nieces and nephews; and one sister Catherine (Kent) Walcott of Oregon. She was preceded in death by two brothers: Robert and William Copeland.

Susan worked as an x ray technician and as a mammographer at Springfield Clinic for over thirty years.

She enjoyed gardening, canning, cooking her famous lasagna and lunches with friends. Susan’s family was everything to her and she treasured all of the wonderful times spent together especially making Christmas cookies and banana bread with her beloved grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held at 3:00pm on Sunday November 21, 2021 at Bisch and Son Funeral Home, 505 East Allen Street. The family will greet friends from 1:00pm until the time of Service Sunday at Bisch and Son. A graveside service will be held at 12:00pm on Tuesday November 23, 2021 at Steenbergen Cemetery in Mt.
