Susan Kay Harris, 54, of New Berlin, died at 6:14 p.m. on Monday, February 3, 2014 at Memorial Medical Center. Susan was born May 18, 1959 in Springfield, the daughter of James and Marilyn Turley Albert. She married Matthew L. Harris on May 27, 1978 in Springfield. Susan worked at Memorial Medical Center and enjoyed fishing and hunting. She was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband, Matthew Harris of New Berlin; one daughter, Jennie (husband, Chris) Penning of Springfield; three brothers, Robert (wife, Ruth), Steve, and John Albert, all of Springfield; one sister, Donna (husband, John) Peak of Springfield; many nieces and nephews; and her faithful dog, Cheerios. Cremation was accorded by Butler Cremation Tribute Center prior to ceremonies. Memorial Gathering: Family will receive friends from 5:00-8:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 6, 2014 at Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home, 900 S. 6th St., Springfield.
