Steven Ross Phillips

He was born July 3, 1947 in Carmi, Illinois the son of Roy and Madelyn Phillips. He later married Nancy Heyerman in 1974, she survives.

Steven served in the United States Army during Vietnam. He was a former American Legion and VFW member. He worked as a Real Estate Appraiser in Springfield. He enjoyed spending time with his family and enjoyed watching Illinois sports.

Besides his wife, Nancy, he is survived by his daughter Chrissy and her husband Joshua Stuenkel of Springfield, his grandson Jordan Stuenkel and his mother Madelyn Cox of Springfield.

He is preceded in death by his father Roy.

Visitation will be Wednesday, June 29, 2011 at Bisch and Son Funeral Home 505 E. Allen St. in Springfield from 8 am to 10 am. Funeral services will follow at 10 am with Reverend James Stuenkel officiating. Burial will be at Camp Butler National Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the Animal Protective League.
