Stephen Kent Pollock

Stephen "Kent" Pollock, 57, of Springfield passed away on Friday January 2, 2015 at his residence. He was born on October 16, 1957 in Olney, Illinois to Stephen L. and Mary Lee Cleveland Pollock. Kent married Susie Williams on November 4, 1978 in Albion, Illinois and she survives.

Mr. Pollock is also survived by two sons: Jeffrey Ryan (Hayley) Pollock and Jonathan Stephen (companion Brittany) Pollock both of Springfield, and three sisters: Katherine (David) Williams, Karla (Vince) Smith, and Kimberly (Darrin) Strange. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Stephen was a Senior Bridge Inspector for the State of Illinois retiring after 34 years of service. He had served as a Deacon at Southside Christian Church where he coordinated communion servers for several years, he enjoyed woodworking and spending time with his cat Trooper and grand dogs Knockout and Gracie who all had a special place in his heart .

A funeral service will be held at 1:00pm on Tuesday January 6, 2015 at South Side Christian Church 2600 South MacArthur Blvd., with burial to follow at Farmington Cemetery. The family will meet friends from 12:00pm until the time of service Tuesday at church.
