She was born in Springfield, the daughter of Edwin Cort and Bereniece Shirk.
Sheila was preceded in death by her parents; and brother, Cort J. Shirk.
She is survived by four sisters, Linda A. Mizeur of Springfield, Pamela S. Brock of Bozeman, MT, Marcia M. O’Donnell of Cincinnati, OH, and Rita B. Garvey of Springfield; two brothers, Paul B. Shirk of Mariposa, AZ, and Rex A. Shirk of Santa Monica, CA; close friend and companion, Louise Constant; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Cremation was provided by Butler Cremation Tribute Center.
A private ceremony and burial was held at Calvary Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to St. John’s Hospice, 2667 Farragut Dr., Springfield IL, 62704.
