Savanna "Vannie" Wilson, 13, of Springfield, passed away at 1:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 25, 2017 at St. Johns Hospital. Savanna was born on October 11, 2003 in Springfield, the daughter of Jessica Underwood and Jaime Wilson. Savanna was a student at Jefferson Middle School where she was a cheerleader and on the basketball team. She was a social butterfly and full of life, always enjoying time with family and friends. Savanna also liked to read, listen to music, and dance. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Henry Lee Wilson; great-aunt, Deanna Rockwood; and great-uncle, Bruce Rockwood. She is survived by her mother, Jessica Underwood of Springfield; her father, Jaime Wilson of Sparta; two siblings, Jaime Wilson II and Kyla Wilson, both of Springfield; grandparents, Kaydo and Ellen Underwood of Springfield and Geanette Wilson of Sparta; and a host of aunts, uncles and cousins. Visitation: Family will receive friends from 4:00-7:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 1, 2017 at Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home, 900 S. 6th St., Springfield. Funeral Ceremony: 11:00 a.m. on Friday, June 2, 2017 at Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home with Pastor Juanez Wilson officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Ridge Cemetery.
