Ryan Grey Lopez

Ryan was born on November 21, 2014, in Springfield, the son of Domenic and Julia (Kletzker) Lopez.

He attended Glenwood Elementary School and Blessed Sacrament, throughout his education. Ryan was joyful, energetic, loving, and lived to have fun. He was an outspoken young man who was always ready to entertain you, especially with his hilarious dad jokes. Ryan played baseball with the Chatham Braves, swam with the KC Seacats, and practiced Karate. He was very creative, obsessed with sharks, and loved traveling to the beach. Ryan made special connections with everyone he met, lighting up a room with his contagious laugh and smile.

He is survived by his parents, Domenic and Julia Lopez of Chatham; brother, Sean; grandparents, Dr. G. Robert and Mary Kletzker of Marco Island, FL, Garfield Lopez of Phoenix, AZ, and Luis Figuerora of Phoenix, AZ; aunts and uncles, Rob and Melissa Kletzker of Charlotte, NC, Jon and Rebecca Steele of Washington, D.C., Carol Kletzker of St. Louis, MO, and Michelle Wilder of Phoenix, AZ; and cousins, Grierson, Jackson, and Taylor. He will be missed by countless friends, neighbors, and teammates.

Ryan was preceded in death by his grandmother, Tina Figuerora.

Visitation: Family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Friday, February 17, 2023, at Butler Funeral Home – Chatham, 8855 State Rte. 4, Chatham.

Funeral Mass: 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, February 18, 2023, at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 1725 S. Walnut St., Springfield, with Rev. Jeff Grant, celebrant.
