Roy was born December 22, 1967 in Springfield, Illinois. He married the mother of his children in 1987 and soon after became a father to his three daughters, Meaghan, Emily, and Lanie.
Roy was a huge fan of the Bears and the Cubs and was never caught without wearing their memorabilia. He was also a huge fan of music, especially The Beatles. Roy gave 30 years to his job for the State Board of Ed. and 20 precious years to pastoring youth and leading them to Christ. His greatest joy in life was spending time with his daughters and his grandchildren, never ceasing to be silly and always making them laugh.
Roy is survived by his wife, Sherri Williamson, his three daughters and sons-in-law, Meaghan and Michael Wallace, Emily and Tim Lewis, Lanie and Evan Ihlenfeldt, his seven grandchildren, Posie, Atlas, Esther, Odessa, Elmah, Isla, and Solomon, and the mother of his children, Sherri Sanderson. He was predeceased by his mother, Marilyn Barry and his sister, Kimberly Williamson.
