Ross E. Hewitt Jr.

Ross Emery Hewitt Jr., 64, of Springfield, passed away on Thursday October 25, 2012 at his residence. He was born on December 8, 1947 in Springfield, the son of Ross Emery and Minnie Irene Phillips Hewitt Sr.

Mr. Hewitt is survived by his son Ross Emery (Rochelle) Hewitt III of O’Fallon, MO., and Joanna Hewitt of Sherman, five grandchildren: Braden Hewitt, Lindsay Hewitt, Ross Hewitt IV, Rachel Hewitt, and Reghan Hewitt, four sisters: Brenda (Bill) Moody, Sharon (Steve) Petrilli, Pamela (Austin) Dearing all of Springfield, and Angela (Dana) Chaudion of Riverton, one brother Joseph Vespa of Springfield, as well as several nieces and nephews.

Ross was the sales manager at Roberts Foods for many years. He was also a member of Riverton Lavely #786 AF&AM and Ansar Shrine. He was also a US Army Veteran who served in Vietnam.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00am on Monday October 29, 2012 at Bisch and Son Funeral Home, 505 East Allen St., with burial to follow at Oak Ridge Cemetery Mausoleum. The family will meet friends from 3:00pm-5:00pm Sunday at Bisch and Son with Riverton Lavely Lodge #786 AF&AM conducting Masonic services at 5:00pm.
