Rosemary Timoney, 90, of Springfield, passed away at 4:58 p.m. on Wednesday, January 8, 2014 at her residence. Rosemary was born May 12, 1923 in Springfield, the daughter of Lawrence C. and Marcella Hunt Timoney. Rosemary was a graduate of Sacred Heart Academy. She was a past volunteer for many charitable organizations in Springfield. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Lawrence Timoney. She is survived by her sister-in-law, Margaret Timoney; three nephews, Kevin Timoney of Springfield, Tim (wife, Cindy) Timoney of Springfield, and Martin Timoney of Clearwater, FL; three nieces, Paula (husband, Emile Snijders) Timoney of St. Petersburg, FL, Laura "Mickey" (husband, John) Dearing of Jacksonville, and Bridget Timoney of St. Louis, MO; and four great-nephews. Visitation and Funeral Ceremony: Family will receive friends from 10:00 until the time of the funeral ceremony at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 11, 2014 at Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home, 900 S. 6th St., Springfield with Rev. Msgr. Carl S. Kemme officating. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
