Roselyn Marie Nesbit, 74, of Dixon, died Thursday, February 16, 2012, at CGH Medical Center, Sterling. In addition to a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother, "Rose" was an accomplished musician, photographer, and gardener. She was past pianist for several area churches. Roselyn was born April 13, 1937, in Decatur, IL, the daughter of Dale and Marie (Causey) Griffith. She married Fred L. Nesbit on March 15, 1959, in Springfield, IL. She attended Northside Baptist Church, Dixon. Survivors include her husband, Dr. Fred L. Nesbit of Dixon; one son, David (Julie) Nesbit of Rockford; three daughters, Ellyn Nesbit of Sunnyvale, CA, Donna (Cruz) Eusebio of Murrieta, CA, Judy Nesbit of St. Louis, MO; one sister, Ellyn (LaVerne) Kremer of Decatur; four grandchildren, Graeme, Brooke, Branon, and Caleb; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 2 5:00 p.m., Sunday, February 19, 2012, at Preston-Schilling Funeral Home, Dixon. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m., Monday, at Northside Baptist Church, Dixon, with the Rev. Daniel Bentz, pastor, officiating, assisted by Pastor Liandro Arrelano, of Faith Assembly Church, Grand Detour. Additional Visitation: Family will receive friends from 1:00 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 21, 2012 at Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home, 900 S. 6th St., Springfield with Rev. Vaughn Beeman officiating. Burial will follow at 2:30 p.m. at Roselawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials have been established, including Rio Bravo Ministries, P.O. Box 171, Quemando, TX 78877.
