Rosalie "Rosie" Lawson Fross, 82, of Springfield, passed away on Tuesday, October 07, 2014 at St. John's Hospital. Rosie was born December 4, 1931 in Springfield, the daughter of Frank L. and Jessie G. Dowllar Lawson. She married Bryce E. Fross; he preceded her in death. Rosie attended Springfield High School. She retired from Motel 6 where she controlled the laundry department. She was a helpful and understanding woman who enjoyed genealogy, needle point, crocheting, and card games including solitaire and canasta. She was also preceded in death by her parents; her son, Edwin Fross, and great-granddaughter, Jessica Clements. She is survived by her three sons, Eugene (wife, Wendy) Fross, Christopher Fross, and Thomas Fross, all of Springfield; one daughter, Doreen (husband, Robert) Gibson of Girard; four grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren, seven great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Graveside Ceremony: 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 14, 2014 at Camp Butler National Cemetery, 5063 Camp Butler Rd., Springfield.
