Ronnie L. Spoor, 78, of Pleasant Plains, passed away on January 9, 2024 at Springfield Memorial Hospital. He was born on May 22, 1945 in Rochester to Louis Spoor and Norma Works. Ronnie married Janet Tolliver in Berlin, Illinois on August 31, 1963 and she survives.
Mr. Spoor is also survived by his children: Angela (Anthony) Campo of Sherman and Toby (Susan) Spoor of New Berlin, five grandchildren: Arika (Charlie) Park, Cara Spoor, Anthony Campo, Pippino (Joseph) Campo and Peter Campo, one sister Bonnie (Guy) Hinrichs, one brother Robert (Rita) Spoor, two brother-in-laws: Jim Birkett and Boyd Johnson, one great grandchild baby Park arriving in July and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death three sisters: Shirley (Lark) Johnson, Barbara Johnson and Sandra Birkett.
Ronnie was the owner of Spoor’s Heating and Air Conditioning. He collected knives, enjoyed watching NASCAR and owned many Corvette’s and Harley Davidsons over the years. Ronnie treasured his time spent with his family, especially his grandchildren and he loved to play jokes on them, especially on his sisters.
Private services were held and a burial took place at Pleasant Plains Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or to the American Cancer Society.
