Ronald Roy Gregory, age 73, of Springfield, Illinois passed away on Saturday, September 7, 2024 at his home.
He was born in St. Louis, MO January 31, 1951 the son of Chester and Joan Anna (Meyer) Gregory. Ron was preceded in death by his parents.
Ron served in the United States Army 1968-1971. He earned the National Defense Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal and achieved Sharpshooter certification for both M-14 and M-16.
Cremation rites have been accorded. A private graveside service at Camp Butler National Cemetery with military honors provided by the Inter-Veterans Burial Detail of Sangamon County will be held.
