Robert C. Schroll

He was born July 19, 1924 in Springfield the son of the late Arthur H. and Kathryn A (Low) Schroll. He married Eleanor L. Solomon in 1942 and she preceded him in death in 2007. He was also preceded in death by an infant son, George Arthur Schroll.

Robert served his country during WW II in the United States Navy as a Radioman First class on a destroyer escort. He was a member of the Morse Telegraph Club, Desa and Dehm.

Robert retired from the C&IM Railroad, in 1984 where he served as a dispatcher for over 38 years.

Surviving are his son Daniel (wife Jennifer Richards) Schroll of Loami, IL, his sister, Drucilla Hill of Springfield, and 3 nieces.

Cremation rites were accorded by the Bisch Crematory. Private inurnment will be in Camp Butler National Cemetery with Military Honors at a later date.
