He was born on January 8, 1959, in East St. Louis, IL, the son of William and Rosemary (Dodson) Miller.
Robert worked as a laborer with Venture Department Store and retired from Orkin. He was a sports fan that cheered on the St. Louis Cardinals, the St. Louis Blues, the Pittsburg Steelers, and Randy Orton of the WWE/World Wrestling Entertainment. Robert loved working outside in his yard.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Robert is survived by his significant other, Lynn Joyce of Springfield; children, Angela (Dan) Mayo of Harvest, AL and Aimee Miller of Springfield; step-children, Ben and Jon Tutter; grandchildren, Zoey, Janie, Lydia, and Randy; Survived by his mother Rosemary Miller; and sister, Teresa (Chris) Knepper.
Cremation was provided by Butler Cremation Tribute Center.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to American Diabetes Association and Springfield APL.
The family is being served by Butler Funeral Home – Springfield, 900 S. 6th St., Springfield.
